Postman Pat: The Movie (Review)

So I went to see this for as loved Postman Pat but as this movie was meant for younger children, I wasn't expecting much.

I was wrong. Some scenes in this movie was hillarious though most of the time I was the only person in the cinema who laughed (apart from one of two adults) when they made fun of Ronan Keating's accent! Another funny but was when the Reverand Tims went up to Simon Cowbell (the judge of a talent contest) and said that once he wona knobbliest knees competition.

The animation is so-so and there is an amazing voice cast!

I give Postman Pat The Movie 3/5

History of Gifts in Comics blog

I have started a new blog looking at gifts in comics dating from Victorian times to the present day. Don't worry, I'll still post on this blog as well!

The Adventure Comic I was going on about

Sorry for no posts in a week, anyway here is the new Adventure comic I was going on about

Well, it's not an 'adventure' comic as such - it's reviving classic Dc Thomson characters such as General Jumbo, Smasher and Invisible Dick.

When it will be out, we don't know but I'm sure it will be good and comic legend, Lew Stringer has done an excellent post on his blog which I reccomend you check out at  http://lewstringer.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/comic-review-reveals-news-of-returning.html?m=1

I would add a photo to this post but my photos aren't working right now.

Adventure Comics: Part 1

A cover of adventure comic, Warlord
Many Adventure Comics went many years ago in the Uk but what puzzles me is, why are adventure comics big in the US but not the Uk.

Many US adventure comics have superheroes on them though The Beano currently has Bananaman in it, it's not an adventure story.

Adventure stories went in The Beano comic many years ago but they still occasionaly appear in annuals. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of adventure stories but I do enjoy General Jumbo and Billy the Cat

I've also heard news about a new Adventure comic. Though for now, there is Commando.

Gwyneth's Book of Records by Stephen Waller

Gwyneth's Book of Records's first strip was quite a hair raiser (literally) great artwork and a great script. In Wednesday's issue, Gwyneth tries to break the record for the tallest pinecone - it's quite a stinger! (Literaly)

Be sure to buy The Beano on Wednesday for only £2 !

New developments

I'm working on making this blog more colourful and I will upload a proper header

But for now it's quite plain and white

To celebrate 60 years of The Bash Street Kids I want to do a poll to see who is everyone's favourite Bash Street Kids character.

This doesn't have to be one of the kids though, it could be Teacher, Olive or even Techno (he hasn't been in for years)

Please vote for your top 3 (in order please)

To vote ether comment below or email bashstreetkidsvote@mail.com

Thanks
